This policy explains how Acustruct Builders & Developers, Acudesign and Acustruct Commercial

Services handle personal information. All three are trading names of Danital Pty Ltd ATF Ital Family

Trust (ABN 43 124 368 244). We refer to ourselves as “Acustruct”, “we” or “us”.

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, project location,

indicative budget, how you heard about us, and anything you include in your message. During a project we collect the information we need to design, document, quote and deliver your build.

If you apply for a job with us, we collect your resume, work history, referee details and anything else you send us consent.

HOW WE COLLECT IT

Mostly directly from you — through our website, by email or phone, and in meetings.

Calls to our office may be answered by our AI phone assistant. It records your name, number and the

reason for your call so we can pass it to the right person.

Sometimes we receive information from others, such as your architect, agent or referees. We do this

with your consent or where you would reasonably expect it.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share information with the people needed to deliver your project, such as subcontractors, suppliers,

consultants, surveyors and other building practitioners. We also share it with the service providers who

help us run the business, such as IT, email, project management and accounting systems.

INFORMATION STORED OVERSEAS

Some of the systems we use to run projects and the business store data outside Australia, including in

the United States. Some providers may also use data centres in other countries. We choose providers

that take reasonable steps to protect your information.

AUTOMATED DECISIONS

We use software to answer and route calls, and to estimate and manage projects. We don’t use

automated systems to make decisions that significantly affect you. Decisions about quotes, contracts,

projects and hiring are made by people on our team.

STORAGE AND SECURITY

We hold information in secure cloud-based systems and in project files at our office. We take

reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure.

When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected, by contacting

us. We’ll respond within 30 days.

COMPLAINTS

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first. We’ll

acknowledge your complaint, look into it and respond within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information

Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
