Templestowe Residence
Templestowe began with a challenge most builders would call a limitation: a sloping block and a full-brick covenant. The answer was a rendered home that honours the covenant's brick beneath a smooth, classic envelope — then quietly exceeds every expectation the brief allowed. A wide, light-filled entry sets the tone, herringbone oak parquet runs underfoot, and arched black steel-framed doors recur as a signature thread tying the rooms together. Detail is everywhere: ornate cornices, a book-matched marble fireplace, full-marble bathrooms with gunmetal tapware, white shaker joinery wrapped in stone, and a classic timber-and-wrought-iron staircase. Framed by a green outlook over Ruffey Park, it’s a home where the constraints never showed up in the finished result — only the client’s vision did.
